Chittadhama is a Residential and Rehabilitation Centre for homeless persons with mental illness. Since 2010, it has been run by the Chittaprakasha Charitable Trust (R) at Shantipura village in HD Kote Taluk, Mysuru district. The center is housed in a 7,200 sq. ft. building donated by the Infosys Foundation, with a capacity to house 50 residents, including both male and female. The rehabilitation process is rural-based and focuses on agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming, poultry, and beekeeping.
Since 2010, Chittadhama has reintegrated 80 residents into their homes across 12 states in India. The facility operates out of a 7,200 sq. ft. building and has constructed a 4,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose hall to facilitate mental health awareness programs, celebrate national holidays and festivals, and conduct yoga sessions for residents. These efforts have helped empower homeless persons with mental illnesses to live dignified lives.
You can support Chittadhama in various ways, such as sponsoring a resident, donating towards medical expenses, or contributing to our ongoing programs. Visit the donation page to learn more about how you can make a difference.
